We begin with an initial consultation.  We will talk about what you hope to capture with your portrait or event photography, the story you want to tell with through my lens.  Do you want to capture a particular moment in your child’s development, or would you like to recreate an heirloom family photo with your child, or perhaps you want to stage a particular scene from classic literature, theatre, or opera.

Our initial meeting can take place at your home, at my studio, over the telephone, or by Skype.  I will then design your session around our discussion, select a location (my farm studio, your home, or another suitable location), and book a date.

Full sessions usually take two hours, allowing for rearranging props and scenery, changes of clothing, etc.  With newborns, I want to create a relaxed pace to allow for feedings and changings and lots of cuddles.

Mini sessions are generally a pre-determined theme or style, offered on specific dates.  Instructions for booking your slot for a mini session day will be given on the advertisement.  Please be prompt for your appointment, and prepared to be photographed as we have a limited time and I want to be sure that everyone gets my best attention and full allotment of time.

We will begin with an initial consultation, either in your home, my studio, or at the event location.  We will talk about the details of your event, the most important moments, people, and elements to capture, and the story you want to tell through my lens.  We can also co-ordinate an engagement session and bridal portrait session for your wedding, or behind-the-scenes sessions for your event.

I am pleased to work with your event planner to co-ordinate details.  For events, I generally will have a second, even third shooter.  We are as unobtrusive as we can possibly be, and we always consult with the officiant beforehand to be sure that decorum is maintained during the wedding ceremony.

Weddings and events take anywhere from four hours to twelve hours.  Destination events are generally shot over several days.

Online proofing is not available at this time.  When your session or event is complete, I will review the images, select the very best of them, process them, and send you proofs through email for you to select for your collection.  Select your images and the collection you would like.  It can take several weeks for your prints to come back from the lab, depending upon the time of year, but generally get them back within two weeks.  I’ll call you to set up a time to come and pick them up, or arrange to ship your collection to you.

With full session photography, your sitting fee is due when you book your session.  A deposit is due when your proofs are ready, and the balance is due upon pick-up or shipment.

Mini-session fees are due when you book your time slot.

Event and Wedding deposits are due upon booking.  Another payment is due one week before the wedding or event, and the final payment is due prior to pick up or shipment of your collection.
